Cymbidium Orchid Compost:
A specially blended compost for the cultivation of Cymbidium and all semi-epiphytic plants.
This compost is a blend of pine bark and other ingredients to form an open well-drained compost, but still with sufficient water retention qualities.
Organic fertilizer (Feathers & Fins plus) has been added to support growth for about four months.
This mix is ready to use and can also be used for bromeliads and other plants.

Misc. Orchid Mix
(semi-treated):
This is a mixture of fine, medium and coarse Radiata Pine bark, mixed with a selection of treated bark, gravels, sel-grit, canunda shells, dolomite and limestone. This mix is suitable for all orchids including cymbidiums, native orchids and miniatures.

Misc. Orchid Mix (semi-treated) coarse:
This mix is for larger plants and larger pots or for personal preference.

Misc. Orchid Mix/Seedling Mix (fully treated):
This is a mix of treated bark, sel-grit and canunda shells and gravel developed especially by Orchid Care Services for their own use in community pots for the de-flasking of seedlings. The mix is ready to use direct from the bag.

Radiata Pine Bark (untreated):
Produced from the weathered bark of mature Australian Pinus Radiata trees, the carefully selected bark is cleaned, hand-sorted to remove the loose cambium layer as well as wood, rocks etc., then milled and graded to produce a product that is clean, evenly graded and dust free. Prior to bagging, it is further sieved to remove dust and fine bark particles so that it is ready for immediate use without further sieving. This bark contains no fertiliser.

Radiata Pine Bark (treated):
Produced for those who prefer to have the bark treated before use. Radiata Pine Bark produced as above has been chemically treated to remove the tannins and resins present in the raw bark and to obtain a suitable pH. There is also food available to start up the plants after potting.

We found that it is possible to grow "all" types of plants in this mix.
Azaleas, Begonias, Camellias, Petunias, African Violets, Cacti, planter boxes etc.
This mix is not a garden compost, it contains no earthworms, bugs and weed seeds. Pine bark and additives are the only ingredients.
It is pH adjusted and most plants will tolerate and in fact thrive in it. We have added organic fertilizer which will last for a few weeks.
